Worlds was very impressive. There were 128 pits where teams could work on their robot and decorate the space showing their team and country. Some pits had very elaborate décor.
Our judging interview went well. They were interested in our robot, Larry. Then it was off to inspections. We all held our breath, but Larry fit nicely into the 18” sizing cube! We got through all the inspections and Larry was ready to play.
The robot looked good on the practice fields before competition started. In our first match the scissor lift broke in autonomous. One of the screws holding the axle together had come out. It meant that we could not lower the scissor lift. Our second match was much better. We had a new high score for the season of 666 points!
