The British Columbia FTC Championships were held at St. Michaels University School in Victoria on Feb. 17, 2018. It was really nice having a competition that we didn’t have to travel to! We even got to play a match with our new team 13724 BUILD IT.
So many Washington teams and Vancouver teams were present. The spirit what so awesome! We did limbo, and the tallest person there was the best at it, ironically. We changed “What do you do with the drunken sailor” into “What do you do with the broken robot”. Not to mention tons of dancing, which was fun.
Thanks to teams Elgin and Cyborg Ferrets for letting us borrow their drills and drill bits. It was so nice that these teams were there to help us when we needed it! We needed to drill a second hole in the 3D-printed spool so we could thread a set-screw in, so the spool could have more grip on the motor and would fall out less.
FIX IT was excited to win the Connect Award.
Congratulations to FTC 6220 Centripetal who won the Inspire Award and qualified for the FIRST Championships in Houston Texas.
